The Drivers Handbook to Car Accident Cases in Florida: 10 Potholes That Can Wreck Your Injury Claim

The Drivers Handbook to Car Accident Cases in Florida: 10 Potholes That Can Wreck Your Injury Claim Review

On an average day in Florida, about 500 people are injured in auto accidents. And most of them aren’t lawyers or experts in auto insurance. In a split second, they find themselves in an unfamiliar – even frightening – new reality, filled with hospital stays, costly auto repairs, missed work, complicated discussions with insurance companies, and even lawsuits.

Pulling your life back together after an auto accident can be a stressful experience for just about anyone. As I explain in this book, a good, experienced personal injury lawyer can help guide you through that process. But learning some basic information in advance – before you need to hire a lawyer – will help you to keep calm, maintain perspective, and make good decisions from the very beginning.

How to Buy and Maintain a Used Car; For the Non-mechanical Person

How to Buy and Maintain a Used Car; For the Non-mechanical Person Review

Not everyone owns a set of mechanic’s tools. You will need only a flashlight, a bath towel and a box of Kleenex to buy your next used car!

Tools are not necessary! You will learn how to evaluate any car, simply. Even if you have no mechanical experience!

This book was written for people who are “non-mechanical”. It assumes the reader has no experience diagnosing, repairing or maintaining a car.

This book will help those “non-mechanical” people buy and/or maintain a used car, in such a way as to save money!

A “step-by-step” pre-purchase checklist is included (as is a “mechanic’s checklist”), which will make it simple to decide if a car is worth buying or not.

If any needed repairs are found, then you have good reason to ask for a reduced price . . . by the amount of the needed repairs.

An internet address is included where the checklist can be downloaded in a printable form, for your convenience. Free!

An entire chapter is included on tire safety, with life saving information.

This book also includes tips on maintaining any car, to increase its life span.

Sections on financing, insurance, and negotiation are also included, and will show you ways to save money!

The author has more than 30 years of experience in the auto repair industry, and gladly shares his knowledge. This is no small thing!

This book is also for sellers. Now they will know that the used car buyers of today are more particular and sophisticated. Now they will know what they will have to repair in order to sell their cars to these modern buyers. Everything! Or reduce their asking prices to compensate for the repairs needed.

It is recommended that you read the book before attempting to use the checklist. The book prepares you to use the checklist, without confusion.

Leave your emotions at home and conduct yourself methodically, and objectively. You’ll be better off and end up with a better car.

Or you can just use this book as a guide to maintaining your own car, and make it last longer.

This book contains 22 cartoon type line drawings, placed at intervals to illustrate important points, and 9 photographs.

Navigation controls included. Updated: 1-4-2011

Mexico Insurance Report Q1 2010

Mexico Insurance Report Q1 2010 Review

This report differs from its predecessors in several respects. In our analysis of competitive conditions, we provide a much more comprehensive ranking of insurance companies in the major segments from the point of view of the organisation that is providing the data (in practice almost always the national insurance regulator or the national insurance trade association). In Mexico, for instance, the three largest non-life companies in the first half of 2009 - in terms of Gross Written premiums - were Seguros Inbursa, AXA Seguros SA de CV, and Grupo Nacional Provincial SAB, with 17.5%, 13.1% and 12.2% market share respectively. Motor insurance (all lines) represented 19.2% of the Mexican market, followed by fire and all risks (15.4%) and accidents and illness (13.6%). Over time, we hope to derive insights from observing how market shares change. We emphasise though, that a decline in share of Gross Written Premiums is not automatically a bad thing and is often the result of a deliberate corporate decision to focus on more profitable business lines.

Writing in November 2009, we have been able to ensure that the report includes actual data for 2008. Reports from the CNSF, Mexico's insurance regulator, indicate that non-life premiums rose from MXN108,612mn in 2007 to MXN115,707mn in 2008. Also according to CNSF, life premiums rose from MXN 84,994mn in 2007 and MXN 94,288mn in 2008.

We have generally been able to use data that has been published over the course of 2009 to adjust our forecasts for the year as a whole. We are looking for total premiums in 2009 of MXN246,137mn. This includes non-life premiums of MXN142,324mn and life premiums of MXN103,812mn. In 2014, the corresponding figures should be MXN369,887mn, MXN238,067mn and MXN131,821mn. In terms of the key drivers that underpin our forecasts, we are looking for non-life penetration to rise from 1.20% in 2009 to 1.50% in 2014, and for life density to rise from US to US5. BMI's proprietary Insurance Business Environment Rating for Mexico is 65.0.

This quarter, we include a discussion of developments within regional markets - on the basis of results published by major cross-border companies in relation to Q209 or Q309 and the latest information provided by regulators and/or trade associations. Among the major insurance companies operating in Mexico, MetLife was the main contributor to the real growth of the life segment, while Inbursa was the main driver of the non-life segment. A surge in investment income - from MXN13,316mn to MXN16,027mn - was the main reason for the increase in the overall profits of the insurance sector.
