From the supplier: A US District Court, on Mar 18, 1993, awarded Charles Wessell 2,000 in punitive, compensatory and back pay damages in the first case to be tried under provisions of the Americans With Disabilities Act. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission had sued AIC Security Investigations for terminating Wessell for his inability to perform due to an inoperable brain cancer. The jury ruled that Wessell was capable of working for three months after his Jul 1992 termination.
